来年のトールキン関連出版物

今年も、海外のトールキン関連書出版は、盛況で、何冊か買ってトールキン貧乏が進行するとともに、欲しい本リストも増えたりしたのですが、来年も、いろいろ魅力的な出版物が既に予定されてますね。
先日も書きましたが、3月〜4月はHarperCollins からペーパーバック版ラッシュ。3月3日の予定で、『指輪物語』の注釈巻『The Lord of the Rings: A Reader's Companion』の新しいペーパーバックと、今年ハードカバーが出た、『ホビットの冒険』版HoMEと言うべき『The History of the Hobbit』 の初ペーパーバック版が出版されます。『The History of Middle-earth』の HarperCollins 既刊ペーパーバックとの統一性を持っています。そして、4月7日の予定で、The Children of Húrin の初ペーパーバック版と、アラン･リーの挿絵入り、The Hobbit と、LotR 3巻本の新しいペーパーバックが、統一性のある装丁で出版です。

トールキンのファンタジー論「妖精物語について」に、Verlyn Flieger と Douglas A. Anderson が解説をつけ、最終的に本になったものより、長く書かれている草稿も収録される『Tolkien on Fairy-Stories』は、現時点では、6月予定になっています。当初今年出版予定になっていて、次に2月に予定が延びて、さらに伸びていますから、本当に6月にでるのかどうかは怪しいかも。

8月に予定されているのは、トールキンのインタビューと、友人とご家族の回想などが収録される、Douglas A. Anderson / Marjorie J. Burns編集の、『On Tolkien: Interviews, Reminiscences, and Other Essays』。当初2004年10月出版予定だったものが、約1年単位で出版予定日が伸びていってる本ですが、来年こそ本当に予定日に出版されるのでしょうか。
